
Helen Nolan
Having graduated with a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from Dublin City University, Helen trained as a Chartered Accountant with the Kepak Group in Clonee, Co Meath. Helen has worked at a senior level in the manufacturing/distribution industry in Ireland for over 10 years working with both the Kepak Group and the Boyne Valley Group. Helen is currently employed as a Parliamentary Assistant to Deputy Charlie McConalogue. She is a Co-Founder of Spraoi agus Spórt and has been instrumental in developing the Centre into a successful social enterprise. She has considerable experience in managing both private and public funding on behalf of the centre.

Cliodhna Byrne
Cliodhna hails from West Donegal and is a native Irish speaker. Following her graduation from LYIT with a NCEA in Business & Secretarial Studies Cliodhna travelled and worked in the USA, Germany and England for many years before returning to Ireland to take up a permanent position with National Irish Bank. Cliodhna worked for over 18 years in the Bank as a senior bank official where her main area of responsibility was that of mortgage advisor. Whilst in employment, Cliodhna obtained many banking qualifications and a JEB Teachers Diploma in IT. In 2012 Cliodhna commenced employment in Naíscoil Dhomhnach Óg where she is studying FETAC Level 5 in Childcare.

Maria McElwaine
Maria is a qualified Chef from Killybegs Catering College, where she obtained her professional City & Guilds Chef Certificate 706-2. She also holds a child care qualification (NVQ Level 3). Maria has worked in the catering industry for almost 15 years and is currently private child care provider.

Patricia McCarron
Patricia has a Diploma in Nursey Nursing and specialised in Special Needs. She worked in the childcare sector for over ten years before becoming a full time mum. Patricia has a daughter with special needs and became involved with Spraoi agus Spórt over four years ago to help develop services for children with a disability in her community as there were none at that time.

Karen McCormick
Karen holds a BA Joint Honours Degree in Business Administration and French from Queens University Belfast and a Master’s Degree in International Business from University of Ulster. She has worked in a variety of marketing related roles in the private, public and not for profit sectors with extensive experience of dealing with key stakeholders on all levels. She has a keen interest in small business and local economic development.

Elaine Harkin
Elaine holds a BTEC National Diploma in Travel and Tourism as well as a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies. She has numerous years’ experience working with children and has worked in the family business since she was 16 years old. Elaine is currently a full time mother.
